Overheating

Asked by May 07, 2017 at 07:20 AM about the 2000 Cadillac DeVille Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 deville base. When I turn on my ac, the fans don't come on. What
does this mean. I have read that the fans are suppose to come on. Could it be
the temp sensor?

Does it have a temp gauge readout and show the water temp? If it does then prob not.

No, but it overheats within 5 miles. When it shows the overheat engine idle, the fans will not turn on until I stop and turn the car off. While driving I turn the ac on and the car starts dropping in temp.
