Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 2000 deville base. I have power, but the car will not start. Could it be the
anti theft?

Could be. Does the engine turn over or nothing at all?

Nothing at all. Just a click in thebackseat

Also battery is charged, lights come on the dash. Tried to reset codes and nothing.

It might be a bad starter. I would clean and tighten the battery cable ends and the battery terminals as a beginning.

If the "security system" and/or "passkey fault" lights stay on beyond a few seconds it's the security system. Otherwise it could be the starter or neutral safety switch. Especially if the lights stay nice and bright when you try to crank it. HTH. -Jim
