Question type: General

Took my 2011 LTZ Equinox into the dealer for an oil change (31K miles) 2 days ago and they also installed a fuel intake kit and changed the back wiper blade. Since they have had the car, there is now a "LO" displaying between the time & temperature above the date on the Infotainment screen.  Does anyone know what this means or where it comes from?  The dealer doesn't know and I called Infotainment support, they don't know either.  I have reread the owner's manual and find no reference to this display.  Thanks for any help.

I really find this hard to believe the dealer has no clue nor that they can place a call to find out what the display code means. Ask to speak to a service manager since Buba in the service line is not that well versed.

I agree that it is difficult to believe that the dealer doesn't know, the service manager didn't know, the mechanics don't know and the Infotainment Support man who took my call didn't know what "LO" means either. They are supposed to be experts dedicated to the Infotainment Center. Supposedly the local "expert" will be back from deer hunting on Tuesday and I really hope he knows or has someone he can call. Nothing in the user manual either.....

Low Oil? Perhaps there is a code they need to reset? Oh Deer, I guess you'll find out.

Low Oil is indicated by a lighted icon of a dripping oil can appearing on the Driver Information Center, not on the Infotainment Center. I don't think there would be two places to display that information. Also I have OnStar and it lets me know when my oil needs changing, etc.

Sorry, that was a tongue in cheek answer. Let us know when you find out. There are regional GM service reps that may be of assistance. I'd think the service rep or manager would of called to get the answer. If you ask, they will give you the GM service rep's phone number. There at times have been the GM service reps monitor these responses and request the person call them to help with the issues they are having. They are not connected with any dealer, but employed by GM itself.

I finally figured out the answer as to why the "LO" displays by playing around with the temperature control knob. The "LO" displays if the temperature control knob is set to a desired temperature less than 65 degrees. I find no reference to this in the car documentation.
