Power windows 2002 Cadilac DeVille DHS

Asked by CylentCee Jan 15, 2019 at 07:57 AM about the 2002 Cadillac DeVille DHS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I push the driver window button, it controls
both of the front windows, and the driver side back
window won’t roll down. When I push the driver
side back window button, the right one goes
down. Also the right mirror now doesn’t move. It is
not the window motors. It seems that maybe
something might have shorted out? Because
everything was working fine, but now it’s all mixed
up.

You could be right about a short, and it might be in the driver's door switch. Check the switches in the individual doors, then check each corresponding switch in the driver's door. Could be individual switches or problems in the wiring, especially where the wires continually bend between the door and the car body.
