Radiator fan air flow direction

I just bought a 1992 300E and the clutch fan blows air into the radiator and
away from engine. It has no electrical wire.Seems like it should be the other
way. Tried flipping it, but it only fits one

No hydraulics at all and no electrical either. The serpentine belt is new but according to the Benz manual it is threaded correctly. Everything seems correct that is why I am baffled
