2011 Chevy Malibu

Asked by tiredMalibuOwner May 13, 2019 at 12:57 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So the car was having issues and check engine light so we took it in.
Mechanic changed out the spark plugs, oil change, air cabin filter and 1 of the
actuators. No the car jerks every time we slow down at about 15 mph. The car
was not doing this before and there are no codes or lights on. Any
suggestions??? The car is also idling a little high and the rpm needle is
bouncing a little and even more when we turn on the ac.

You have tac/throttle actuator control, I'd check system. I always check for codes, even if the light isn't on. You might take an old toothbrush and clean throttle bore and around throttle plate, don't force the throttle plate. See if a little cleaning will help? I might be barking up the wrong tree, but, just a thought.

Tough call , the guy you brought it to doesn't know what he's doing so why would you bring it back to him . Find a good mechanic or better yet a technician . Or get the tools for the wonderful world of auto repair .
