Tryin buy a cts
I've found this 2003 cts with 173,000 miles on it
now it's 2017 n I think that that's great mileage for
14 years but is there anything else that I should be
lookin for while I'm test drivin it?
Airbag light on, and pay attention to the automatic transmission. Make sure it shifts correctly and through all the gears. I believe this year was involved in an airbag system recall. Let your local Cadillac Dealer check for you. They can do this using the vehicle identification number (VIN). HTH. -Jim
Thanks js08016 but do u think this a good purchase?
With 173K miles, I hope that you're getting a "steal" on the price. With a gasoline burning engine, that's a lot of miles to be considered as reliable transportation. As js08016 suggested, ensure that the transmission is sound.
Honestly, no. With 173,000 miles on it it's near the end of it's life in my opinion. Unless, as JC Cadillac said, you're getting it very cheap I wouldn't buy it. HTH. -Jim
He's askin 2300 guys.
KBB.com is saying around $2000. So it's not terribly priced. HTH. -Jim
