Car won't turn on

Sometimes when I try to start my car, it doesn't light up that the car is in park on the dash.  Since the car isn't registering in park, it won't turn on.  Sometimes if I wait 30-90 minutes and try to start it again, it will show the car in park and turn on.  Any ideas on what could be causing this?

I had to get my transmission switch replaced. It happened to me and my car wasn't registering in the appropriate gears. Ended up paying almost $1000 for it. 2010 ford fusion

Dashboard will work, then everything will stop working. All the lights are on but rpm mph goes to zero. Then I can't speed up. Put in park now it won't start, what's wrong
