Fuel wont transfer

Asked by May 29, 2017 at 09:28 PM about the 2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 32 AMG

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 C32 AMG and just recently my car
started to shut off while still having 1/2 a tank of
fuel. My car has a sending unit on the driver side
and the fuel pump on driver side of gas tank. I
found that the passenger side is empty while the
driver side is full. I can't seem to find the reason
why the fuel isn't being siphoned to the right side.
What can be causing this problem. Why isnt fuel
being transferred. Fuel pump has 60 psi. Can it be
weak on vacuum.
