Is it safe to drive 2004 745 Li 12 miles to shop with dynamic drive inactive message showing onn dash?

You are fine. Dynamic Drive uses active stabilisers on the front and rear axles to counteract the vehicle's tendency to roll in a corner. keep it under 100 mph and no worries. Literally.

Thanks. Can't go over 40 mph with all the school zones to go through that early in the mornings.
