what does the D, M, and the S stand for on my BMW? I know it deals with the transmission but I'm not quite sure what each mode does.

I have a 07 750LI D.M.S on my steering allows m setting for manual gear changes with buttons on steering wheel, D for normal driving S is a sport setting for quicker gear changes higher rpm's
