How do I remove the internal OBD cover on my 2001 740iL

Asked by Gene Jul 04, 2015 at 08:32 PM about the 2001 BMW 7 Series 740iL RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My abs, brake and traction lights are on and was told i can reset them with my code
reader. The wood grain cover is off the port but I can not figure out how to get the internal
cover off.

Unless you have a BMW-specific code reader, you can't turn those off. A generic code reader will not read ABS codes. Those three lights usually indicate a bad ABS module or bad wheel speed sensors. I would recommend getting the module rebuilt.
