Over heating 2000 BMW 740i

Hi my 2000 BMW 740I is over heating very bad. I changed the thermostat and the two
cam positions censers as well a few months back. now I see that its leaking from the
water cooled alternator. Could that be why its heating up so badly.Thanks for any
suggestions..

If Air gets in the cooling system it could cause over heating.
