2007 bmw 550i transmission malfunction

Okay so I got this car not to long ago with no
problems but couple days ago I was stopped at
light and transmission malfunction came on. I
turned car off then back on and went away but
keeps coming on but only when I’m at a stop when
at idle. It doesn’t shift hard and drives smooth. I’m
completely lost on what it could be.

Have your mechanic , or transmission shop check it out.. Transmission faults are not something to ignore as damage can be occurring.
