3F57 Charge Air Pressure Control

Asked by M444KTT Jun 12, 2017 at 08:43 PM about the 2005 BMW 5 Series 525i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I've lost power/boost on my car. Error code 3F57 Charge Air Pressure
Control, please are you able to tell me what the fault may be?

2 weeks ago I noticed the car will drive fine the first few minutes then
sudden loss in power. After a while each time I let me feet off the
accelerator I can hear a noise like build up of air being released. I've  been
to my local garage and replaced the map sensor, replaced some vacuum
pipes, cleaned EGR valve, replaced crank breather and so on but still
running same.

Please help or advise?

The 2005 BMW 525i did not have a turbocharger option in the US. Are you outside the United states?
