How many miles does a 525i BMW get.

Too many miles, you'll end up replacing a lot of parts and as you know, they are not cheap but then again you're not gonna find a new one for that price.

I looking at a 2011 5 series bmw 6 cylinder. Has 55,000 miles for 17,000. Is that a good buy and how many miles and a car like that take

I have a 2001 BMW 525i Sedan with 205,000 miles on it. I drove it off from the showroom floor 17 years ago! Have never kept a car this long. . . used to upgrade every 3-5 years. I put more money into my BMW when it was newer and had less than 150,000 miles on it (water pump, oil separator kit, valve gasket cover). Knock on wood, other than tires, a new driver-side power window regulator, fluids, and oil changes, I haven't put any money into it the last 6-7 years and 45K miles later. Given that I do not drive many miles a year, and work locally (miles racked up early on when I commuted for 3 years), I keep driving it, despite some body rust and interior issues, as it ages. But it is paid for and I will never be able to afford another new BMW. Eventually I will upgrade to a newer-used vehicle but keep the BMW in the family since it is still going strong, quiet, and runs smooth on the highway! Nobody knows my BMW better than me. I try to avoid the BMW dealership for maintenance and repairs, given the age of the car, its value, and cost of repairs. I have heard from others that this vehicle will easily go 300,000 miles or more if properly maintained. So that is what I am going for! Just another 100,000 to go! It may just outlive me. ;)

I am looking at trading my 2003 G35 coupe with 193,200 miles on it to a guy with a 2004 BMW 525i with 208,000 miles on it. I had a 528i before and it blew up on the guy I sold it to with not even 200,000 miles on it. I like BMW , always liked the thought of being able to say that’s my BMW. I’m just skeptical about trading for this one. Any advise?
