Problems with BMW

Asked by BMWCar Dec 13, 2010 at 03:38 PM about the 2005 BMW 5 Series 525i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a BMW 5 series manufacture year 2005, 2.5 diesel sport and a red circle appears on the dash board in which it says that the transmission is faulty and the gear might engage with the brake and the car does not get the power to run properly, it also shows check the battery terminal and that there is a run flat tyre failure. What are the solutions to resolve this?

I have already changed the battery and the alternator.

Thanks

Did these failure happened all at once? What's the story here, some more history would be nice before the problem(s) can be diagnosed. The transmission is definitely on "limp home mode - direct drive" and may mean a rebuilt is necessary.

2003 525i bmw the car cranks over but wont start its not the fuel relays, its not the pump, nore is it any of the fuses, a little history on the car the car has an over heating problem i replaced radiator the thermostat i've checked vacuum hoses no air leaks it runs great for a few weeks and then it stops running its not ever got boiling hot to my knowledge, I do know it creates a lot of presser in the radiator system its that normal? if any one could help that would be great thanks..
