I am looking to replace my radio in my 1994 BMW 525i and was wondering if the radio plays any role in the keyless entry to my car?

It might play a role in the alarm system. I would check with a certified BMW mechanic before pulling the radio.

I have a 2002 BMW 525i with an aftermarket radio... It doesn't effect the keyless entry or the alarm system.
