Hello truckerdave-- Your problem with your 1994 BMW could be a lot of things, but because it runs well at high revs I am going to say it is the throttle position sensor or the idle air control valve. At higher revs your car is generally running on its own. At idle speeds and particularly when it is cold it needs a much more carefully calibrated engine. I suggest having a pro look at it in person. Let me know how you do. Good luck from Bovan.
