Heater 05 fist gen Cadillac deville

I have a 05  cadillac deville where the heater quit working. It
started as having to tap on the dash and it would kick on.
Now it doesn't kick on at all. Dont want to sink a bunch of
money into it just to fix the issue. I know it's either the
blower motor or the on the controls on the dash as they look
pretty worn.

Any motor that uses brushes, if the brushes get worn, the motor may run intermittently. You may be able to peck on blower motor with screwdriver handle and it starts running. Right now it sounds like the blower motor is faulty? The diagram is for 05 deville, hopefully the deville dhs has the same wiring diagram for blower motor. You can see the fuse, check it. In my opinion, in the diagram, the purple wire is voltage and the black wire is ground at the blower motor connector. Have you checked voltage and ground at the blower connector?
