Bmw 3 series 55 plate loss of power

Question type: General

I was driving on the motorway before and my car
started to lose power as i put my foot down and
the light with a circle and a triangle with an
explanation mark in the middle of it started
flashing and i had to pull over because it was going
to stop itself as i couldnt accelerate there was
verry little power in short bursts anyone know what
this could be?

Could the dsc light come on due to i need a new rear shock absorber which i do or my rear tyre pressure being lower than the other which it is?

Its not done it again since i turned the ognition off and on and iv drove about 40 miles and i dont know the exact pressure but you can visibly see its lower
