Start with oil designed for locks first. Tumblers may need lubrication

Hi, I have 07 DTS. When I tried to start, battery completely dead . Now key will not come out of ignition. Do you are telling me that since you don't know you have dead battery until you try it, now both issues. And can't get into trunk ??

I would start by replacing the lock cylinder which has to satisfy the PassLock anti theft system  which can be a bear to resolve. If like my 1999 Escalade the cover under the steering wheel has to be removed and a small pin pushed into a very small hole in the top of lock cylinder to release it and I think the key has to be in place and the cylinder will come out.
