overheated

Asked by Mausi Oct 12, 2016 at 09:05 PM about the 2003 BMW 3 Series 325i Sedan RWD

Question type: General

Yes I have a question I was on the toll road and
as I was getting off my battery light turned on
and a couple of minutes later my car gauge
went all the way into red showing it overheated
I made it home and I parked it and smoke and
water came out I left the car sitting for 5
minutes then turned it back on it started
perfectly the battery light was off and the temp
gauge was back to normal the car never died
on me it just overheated and the battery light
came on why would the car do that and what
could it be

1 Answer

Not enough water in the radiator always check to make sure it has enough cuz there is a sensor that will cause the problem you are having if the car overheats
