when i was driving i pushed down on the break and had to push all the way to the floor and when doing this emergency break light come on and traction control can to a slow stop

i was just driving and i starting to push down on my break to slow down for a
stop sign and i just kept pushing till i was basically at the floor and came to a
slow stop. when this happened my break light came on and my traction
control light both came on. i had this same problem over Christmas and got a
new break caliber in the front right. what do you think the problem could be

broken brake line, most probably start by checking the brake fluid level

Also when I hit the breaks like for a sudden stop it is fine.

Sounds like the master cylinder is bad, if your not loosing any brake fluid.

$540 to $800 having it done at a shop. Your best to take it in to be looked at, you really don't want to mess around with the possibility of having faulty brakes.
