Misfire in the #8 cylinder

Asked by Alfredo Oct 27, 2013 at 12:29 PM about the 2006 Cadillac STS V8 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a misfire in the #8 cylinder. I changed the sparkplugs and the ignition coil and I
still
have the misfire. I checked the compression in the cylinder and it is up to par.
Checked to
ensure that there is 12v going to the injector that's fine. I also have a code for the
catalytic
converter. Two questions: Could the catalytic converter cause the misfire and if not,
what
next?
