My 17 year old son bought a 2006 Cadillac sts with v6.
Recently it's been idling rough and has very little
acceleration. Hooked the scanner up and got random
misfire, misfire in cylinders 1,3, and 5. Changed the spark
plugs moved the coils from 1,3, and 5 to 2,4, and 6 and vice
versa. Replaced the crankshaft position sensor cleared the
codes drove it around the block all seemed to be fine for a
few minutes and the problem came back got the same
codes. Any suggestions on where to look next?

Unfortunately my ex wife was with him when he bought it and it's in her name. Only thing she has contributed since birth. I told both of them not to make any purchases until I looked the vehicle over but shes as dumb as a bag of hammers and since the carfax came back clean (cause everyone knows carfax is always on point) she went ahead and signed for it. I did a compression test the other night and all 6 were within 10% of 120 on the dry and 150 on the wet test
