Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Wont start!! okay so what happened was about a month ago my brakes went out, i took it in and they said that i needed new rotors and brake pads, well at the time i did not have the money to do so, but after sitting for about a month i went out and started it up to make sure it started and didn't die on me i had no problems well a week has passed and i have gotten the parts i needed and went out to take my car to a friends house to change them out and i went to start the car up and it started up for about 2 seconds then died, now its just turning over and nothing happens, im kinda confused because i had no problems starting it up a week ago, the only thing i can think of is being the spark plugs or the fuel pump, my guess is on the fuel pump due to after turning it over a couple times there is no flooding smell coming out of the engine or exhaust i need any and all help possible, my main problem is i don't have the tools/experience to do the work and i just spent all my money on getting the parts i need.

so if you dont have tools or experiance why did you buy parts or know that you needed them?should check fuel pressure if you think the pump is bad.pull the rear seat check power and ground at the pump.im sorry check all the fuses first make sure there is fuel too.might be the idle valve under the intake too.if your pump is working.let me know if there is still an issue
