replaced break pedal switch but break lights still stay on 06' srx i also hear a clicking noise when i push breaks

Have someone you don't like stand in back of the car while you pull up on the brake pedal. If the brake lights go off then it's a pedal return problem. If the brake lights stay on....back-up quickly and run them over. At least you'll feel better.
