tried everything trunk will not open

If the key isn't working, and the release isn't working, it may help to take the back seat out- if you can get inside the trunk that way, you can release the latch manually- hopefully- you can also try diagnosing why the release won't work- you can also get a locksmith to open it- so many options- are there more?
