Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1996 328i convertible has not been started in over a year.  Previously there were not problems with the engine.  It has about 1/4 tank of gas.  How should I go about getting it started?

I will definitely suggest you a new battery, check all the engine fluid levels. I will first thing buy fresh gas and fill at least another 10 gallons to mix with the fuel in the tank. Start the engine without pushing the gas pedal . We actually want the engine to take little longer to start because we want to prime the engine with oil pressure. Crank few times and if it's start the first try is all good just let it idle and it will prime itself from there you should be good to go. Check the tires for cracks and replace if needed.
