my passingerside window wont go down but it goes up

my passingerside window wont go down but if i take the motor out it goes up and i plugged it into the driverside. and i tried the switch from driverside it still only goes down

Sounds like a switch that isn't switching polarity. With the motor out can you feed it juice to see if it works with some jumpers, then switch jumpers around. Should run the other way then.

The switches actually pull out pretty easily. In my 89 325i they just pull straight out of the console and then you can unplug them. Try taking out one of the good switches and plug it into the window that doesn't work and test it that way. If it works with a different switch then you know it's the switch that's gone bad.

Check Autozone for new actuators I had to on my 1995 318ti.
