91 325i cd player will not eject the cd magazine? I am looking for a manual on line and can not find one.

Asked by RudyB Nov 06, 2012 at 06:21 PM about the 1991 BMW 3 Series 325i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is the first time the CD player has malfunctioned. It will not eject the CD magazine and it does not
operate (play the CDs). The screen in the car shows there is no magazine in the player. I cannot find a
reset button. What should I do?

Your changer has failed I'm afraid and there isn't a reset button. But if your lucky try uplugging it and waiting 20 secs or so then plugging it back in and then it might eject. However you will need to replace the changer. Good luck hope this helps.

I actually took mine apart and physically removed the magazine. One of the nylon loading gears had over rotated. After the magazine was removed and the unit reassembled, it reset and worked great. I never had another moment's problem.
