I have a 1986 BMW 325 and have replaced the fuel pump, filter, and the starter. It will run for a few days and then not start for a day or two then start again only to not start again! What could be the problem HELP PLEASE!!!!

yes...wirebrush the black cable where it connects to the chassis/ground...use a coarse wirebrush to remove the layer of "semiconductor" that is preventing good power that varies in voltage and available amperages~ once a connection that can push 300 cold cranking amps and still provide reliable 12 volts to the ECM and the ignition, fuel pump and aux components....sad they put all the GROUND on one bolt~...clean that connection up....get a NEW battery if older than five years old~
