Towing a 2011 528i BMW Damage

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me out with a problem I am having.

3 weeks ago my 2011 528i BMW was towed from a parking lot, (though there were no signs in vicinity of where I parked and upon closer inspection, the one hour parking which was allowed, was not expired when my car was towed per tow companies own fill in on receipt.)

My vehicle was in Park, with e-brake on.  So tow company just hooked it up and towed it 10 miles to tow yard, not on a flatbed tow truck.   Upon receiving my vehicle back later that afternoon, I noticed my car was not running the same as previously when I had NO issues whatsoever.  No warning lights came on, though approx. a week ago, my car shifted very rough going into Park and I would not reverse or move forward when I put into gear.  I let it sit for approx. 30 minutes, and had my boyfriend go out to take a look.  The car acted as normal, until 3 nights ago when I was arriving home, and slowed to back into parking spot...when there was 2 rough shifts, and then my car would not engage in any gear whatsoever.  Which is where it stands now.

My question is....could it be how the tow company towed my vehicle, as to why I am having these issues now?? It is undrivable, and beside myself as the vehicle was running perfect prior to this towing incident.  BTW..it is a RWD vehicle.  Any insight would be welcome, and greatly appreciated.
