MAF Sensor

Asked by Susanne Jul 25, 2017 at 02:31 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze LTZ Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've changed the MAF sensor on my Cruze but the engine light comes back
with the same code. Are there more than 1 sensor in this car?

There is only one sensor, like tom said are you sure you got the code fort he MAF? , if so the MAF works with air flow, is the air filter dirty, if it's clogged it will not allows the proper air flow thus getting the code that you have a bad MAF!

I changed both the air filter and cabin air filter also. And this was the second MAF that I changed since I thought that the first one may have been bad!

It's the intake manifold. I was told by dealer it happens to all 2011-2013 Cruze. It has a valve in it that gets stuck. I changed mine and it fixed the MAF code

It is not the manifold just went through this the intake manifold does not fix the issues. I still have a po102 (mass or volume air flow A circuit low)

I’m not sure if you can reprogram throttle bodies in the cruzes but I’m going to try. And I’m also going to clean the throttle body throughly . So far I’ve done. A boost leak test and no leaks I’ve done the pcv kit still no leaks after changed the masf still didn’t fix the issue
