Rattling from car on my 2011 chevy impala

Asked by GuruNCLV Apr 25, 2017 at 01:35 AM about the 2011 Chevrolet Impala LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2011 Chevy Impala and it has
started making a rattling noise on the drivers
side at the front. It doesnt start as soon as
you start driving but begins after the car has
been driven for a little bit. The rattling gets
worse when going up hills and taking sharp
turns. I am worried about what this could be.
I was told, it could be a gas issue where i
need to use high grade gas but i switched
my gas and the noise still occurs.

Valve ping from cheap gas is like said a ping/ching/ping chatter and rocker arms loose more or a rattle/ and push rod bent more of a ding ding ding. Going around turns make it worse is what has me unless its when off the gas and it could be upper valve train then. Is this for sure coming from the engine? Push rods will make its noise regardless so I am ruling it out. If your engine is the source. Pull the valve cover and check for rocker arm wear and loose. Does it have very high miles/hours? If its not engine noise, need to put it on a lift and see whats going on, could be something simple.
