What does it mean when maint required comes on and maint not due

At the end you can damage your engine. The oil MUST be replaced every 3.000 miles or 3 months (what comes first) The oil is clear, then becomes dark and thick. Nothing good if you do not change oil / filter.

oil changes every 3k is a waste of money and resources, follow makers recommendations, you may do it a bit sooner if it makes you feel better ...whoever changed the oil did not reset the reminder indicator
