The 2011 Kia Sorento EX V6 Driver door won't open from the outside. What causes this and How do I fix this?

Not a difficult fix. Just a stuck rod or broken piece of plastic on the handle. Getting in is the hard part. The easiest way I've found to get a door apart is to take it off the vehicle and use dynamite. Only downside to that is you need a new door when you're done. The more practical way is to take the screws out of the door panel wherever you see any. Then comes popping the little plastic clips out without breaking any. In order for the panel to stay on for a lifetime you need all of them.
BS!!!! You can't pull the inner panel off the door to see. I tried.
After you take the door panel off you're going to need to remove the window. After that you will have to remove the metal panel which is held on by a few bolts. Then you should be able to see what's causing the problem.
