2011 Kia Sorento

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We replaced the door lock & actuator front left on my 2011 kia sorento because the door wouldn't open from the outside now my button on the door that I push to unlock & lock the door want work.  Could someone please tell me what could be wrong.

Check your rods and connectors to make sure they are not bent,or,connectors for linkage are all locked on rods and rods are all put in proper.not upside down

Check into Kia recalls--Door locks were recalled on back doors---I know this because the drivers side door lock went out and had to get a new lock--Wasn't recalled on front door . GEEZ!

I replaced an actuator for the door locks once ..it was not the actuator at all it was a broken wire in the rubber tube by the door post .fixed the wire all ok .returned part .and saved a bundle.M.M
