I am having this exact same problem. Sensor works but screen is black. Bringing in on Saturday to be fixed, I think it must be a bad connection somewhere and not the actual camera. Did you get the problem resolved?

Same issue with my 2014. If I bang on the rear panel above the camera it sometimes will come on so I'm assuming its a connection issue. Dealer wanted to charge me $125 Diagnostic fee told them I'd do it myself and hope.

I am having the same issue was at the dealer yesterday and of course that is out of warranty told me they could do a diagnostic test but it would cost me. I am going to replace the camera and hope that works

Guru, did replacing the camera fix it for you? My 2014 quit in the last month

My 2015 Kia Sorento back up camera was not working at 95k miles. The display screen completely black. Checked everything I read online as to what it could be. Finally took it the the local Kia dealer. Was told the camera needed to be replaced $400.00 for parts and labor. Looked up the part online and got for $105.00. Changed the camera myself. It took about an hour. Once the camera stops working or stops then works a few days later then stops again its 100 percent the camera. If you live in the northeast like I do my old camera had water and salt damage and over time took its toll. Dont waste time checking the electrical or spending money for the dealership to run tests. Hope this helps

My 2016 kia Sorento 54k, just did the same thing. I tapped on the rear hatch panel just above the back up assist camera and it still didn't work. The fm radio plays but no media display at all - dark screen. I then looked in the under dash fuse panel and noticed that there is a fuse labled media 15 amp. I pulled the fuse out it wasn't blown but the spades were kinda brown so i pushed it in and out a few times. The screen and camera came back to life. Cost $0 Bert

Thank you! Worked for me on my 2019 Sorento! Now if I could run it through a car wash without the Blind Spot Collision Assist sensor going, it would be perfect!

where would you recommend the purchase of a 2015 Kia Sorento Back-up Camera?

Definitely scrape the legs on the fuse clean both sides with a utility knive, stick it back in. This solved my problem after looking at everything else. It's the 15amp multimedia fuse.

Scraping fuse spades is working in Dec 2022 on my 2015 Sorento. I might even try running a points file into the fuse receptacles.
