Are these cars safe? I had a 2002 ford taurus station wagon that was so solid.

Asked by boxynow52 Aug 07, 2013 at 12:03 AM about the 2010 Dodge Nitro SE 4WD

Question type: General

The 2010 nitro doesn't seem as heavy duty as my ford taurus.  Did they stop making cars
like that?  The salesman told me I have an SXT-  how could I?  I don't have any of those
fancy features.

The sticker on your drivers door will have a VIN number on it. Take that information to any dealer service or parts department and have them "decode" it for you. As for safety rating numbers, look online at www.NHTSA.com or www.ConsumerReports.com websites.

Also, SXT is a upgrade stereo and wheel package. Most "fancy features" will be found starting with the SLT package and up.
