How's it going everyone,
I am giving my 2010 5.7 hemi a tune up and I
purchased iridium long life plugs and didn't even
Think about, if they would burn to hot or not! Any
input on this would be greatly appreciated!!?
Are you concerned about heat range? Iridium plugs will not last as long as double platinum but otherwise should work just fine if they are correct for your car.
Yes, I was more concerned about heat range. I don't want to burn through a valve. Will the iridium's burn hotter than my stock or burn to hot period??
The heat range has nothing to do with the tip material. It has to do with the construction of the ceramic insulator. The parts guy will get you the correct heat range for your car. If you are worried about it, pull one after a few miles and inspect the plug.
