2010 CC Driver side Dip Beam Headlight is out

The headlight is out, the sensor on the dash is on and the message reads Low Dip Beam is out. The problem is that I changed the Lamp with a new bulb however the lamp still wont work. A dealer service tech gave it a quick look and mentioned that it might be the Headlight Wiring Harness. Anyone have a suggestion on what to do or how this might be a possible option?

get a new battery....a five year old one will never be charged up all the way and will have limited cold cranking amp potential and will workhorse the alternator to try n' charge up a battery that ain't taking a charge....so doing so, you should undo the Black 1/0awg Cable going to the chassis ground and undo the bolt, coarse wirebrush the territory where the lug bolts to and wirebrush the lug too, to insure a solid 300 cold cranking amp potential...that'll wake it up~

hey I just had to change my low beam head light also . same deal , wasn't a bad bulb at all. it was the running bulb that is in line and in series with the head light . the bulb closest to the fender , under a "plastic cover " not the rubber covers , WAS the bad bulb , and it is an easy fix. Now both lights will come on in unison. hope you got yours fixed.
