My gs 350 headlights and dash lights flickering and car wont start

Jump started a dodge for a lady once, when her car started every light on that car in/out went to flashing off/on constantly. I jumped it right using neg clamp on her steel ground not on her battery so I really didn't know what had happened to it. About a week later I saw her again and she had to buy a new battery for it. Once she replaced its battery all the flashing stopped, so let me just say' newer cars just love doing dumb chit! lol
