2010 Jeep Patriot transmission overheats

HELP! I have a POS 2010 Jeep Patriot and I
cannot drive it over 50mph for any amount of time
at all before the transmission whines (almost like
stuck in a gear) and the transmission light comes
on. I have to pull over and let it cool off to be able
to drive with any power at all. After seeing these
forums I am furious that they are getting away with
this. PLEASE if anyone has fixed this successfully,
tell me what you did...

I had a 2014 trailrated 4wheel drive Jeep Patriot very nice.. loaded.... maybe had too much.....over heated like that....had to have it towed in.....to the dealer.....barely a year old.....checked it out....they could not find the problem.....well afraid to trust it anymore...and I loved my Jeep ......so they ended up taking it back and sold me a 2015 200c Chrysler.....I so missed my Jeep.....my husband read the manual on that Jeep...it did have a comment on this problem.....said pull over and let it cool off.....what if your in the middle of traffic on a highway, cars going 65 and faster and can't get over out if the way quick enough....sounds dangerous to me.
