The switch for the door locks could do this. On my '95 Chevy I have to make sure there in a neutral position.

If your car doors are locking and unlocking and/or your auto sliding doors or auto trunk is opening and closing, without you using or even touching the remote transponder, then you have a bad remote. The circuit board in the dodge remotes has contacts, and if these contacts come unglued and move around in your remote, it will cause this behavior. Exposure to extreme heat causes the glue on the contacts to lose cohesion, like, leaving your keys out in direct sunlight, accidentally left in clothes while in clothes dryer machine, on a hot surface like a hot car dash, while sitting in a car with the windows down, or dropping the remote enough times for the contacts to come undone, either way, you have to go to a dealer to get the remote fixed or replaced. Youre welcome.

MoparMaestro, can a bad remote also cause the grand caravan To have battery drain? Please advise. The car starts when jumped, but battery dies fairly quickly. Quick computer diagnostics shows no problem with battery after jumpstart and approx. 30 minute run, starter or alternator.

Just walking passed the car when it’s parked unlocked it without even having the remote on you?
