Oil pressure relief valve

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I found out from the dealer that the noise I'm hearing is the oil pressure relief valve. I was told it took them awhile to
pin point the problem and that there are a lot of caravans with this same problem. When they did shouldn't a recall
have been sent ? Also can you tell me where this part is located? I was also wondering if you could tell me if it's
part of the drive train. I still have lots of time left on that warranty. They tell me the part it needs is in a kit and the kit
costs $600.00.

Bull. That part costs about 5 bucks and technically is part of drive train because it's on the engine

That kinda helps. Is it something a person can do besides a mechanic? From the pics you sent it does. But I'd like to be sure. As far as the price, I've check with my local auto parts place and they don't seem to be able to help me get it. I checked Autozone and Oriellys auto parts.

I don't know your mechanical skills, depends on that. It is a kit, but $600 has GOT to include labor, making me think it may be time consuming if it costs that much to put in a $10 part, or they are just trying to $#@^% you

I don t need to worry about putting it in myself, it's covered under my power train warranty. Thanks so much for the help.
