The VDC off and slip lights are lit. What does that mean?

VDC is Vehicle Dynamic Control. One of those complex, IMO arguably unnecessary, another sophisticated thing to go wrong. But start by checking your brake fluid, and see this thread: http://www.nissanclub.com/forums/2007-2012-nissan-altima-discussion-2-5-3-5/316365-vcs-off-slip-lights.html

You can sometimes get that light if Icy roads are anticipated and the VDC is off or inop, warns you that you have one tire pulling the car instead of 2 (varibly), on ice that could give you a problem with track and directional control, just a warning, if it is off then use it (turn it on) your vehicle will handle better on slick wet pavement or icy roads, That is what it is for!
