Over heating

Asked by GuruZDMXW Oct 10, 2017 at 10:21 PM about the 2010 Jeep Liberty Sport

Question type: General

Purchased for my daughter several months ago.
Single mom and it took every last penny I had.
Recently started to overheat.  A friend blew out the
heater hose worked great for a few months.  Back
to overheating.  Coolant level is full.  No milky stuff
on the oil dipstick.  I put a sheet underneath it in
the garage do not see any leaks.   Every few days
at a little bit of coolant and it's fine, but I'd like to
know what is making it overheat?  Concerned for
my daughters sake.  Any suggestions please help!

Check thermostat. Thermostat could be stuck shut, restricting the flow of coolant through the engine.
