2010 rav4 wont start after replacing battery

My 2010 Rav4 (smart start) will not start after replacing old battery with a new
battery. Please help

Maybe it has something to do with the key, the codes, the security system?

What would be the easiest way to find out? I believe I am starting to change my mind about the Smart Start. Thank you for your time
